Environmental/Construction Coordinator

Overview:

We’re looking for an Environmental/Construction Coordinator to join Palmer’s environmental team. Our ideal candidate has skills assisting with and coordinating construction related projects. Work experience with infrastructure and transportation projects and knowledge in relevant areas of construction and understanding various design and construction methods is beneficial.

What You’re Responsible For:

  • Provide support for execution of environmental/construction projects.
  • Understand project plan, activities, and milestones, and organize, track, and report project activities to team members.
  • Coordinate and manage project schedules and track progress.
  • Communicate and coordinate between multi-disciplinary team leads.
  • Manage and monitor timelines, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Prepare invoices and change orders.
  • Work on multiple projects, to support execution of scope/budget/schedule to meet Client expectations.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the project team.
  • Liaise with Clients, regulators, and subcontractors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Tech, or C.E.T. designation/certification would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry or relevant industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Health and Safety Act would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated construction administration experience would be an asset.
  • Experience in directing field staff would be an asset.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects concurrently while meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to work additional or non-standard hours.
  • Ability to work in a professional office and field work environments.
  • Strong problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to solve problems in a timely manner.

Work Location:

This position will be based out of Palmer’s Toronto office and may include frequent travel across southern Ontario at various project sites. Flexible work location with an opportunity to work from the office, home, or both! All candidates must have a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
