Hydrogeological Assessment: Bram East Block Plan Area 47-3

Hydrogeological recommendations for site approvals, Low Impact Development (LID) and construction dewatering

The Bram East Block Plan Area 47-3 Employment Lands are located south of Countryside Drive and west of Highway 50, in the City of Brampton.

Palmer Environmental Consulting Group Inc. (PECG) was retained by The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd. (TMIG) to complete a Hydrogeological Assessment to support the preparation of an Environmental Implementation Report (EIR) and a Functional Servicing Report (FSR) for the site.

Building upon the Master Environmental Servicing Plan (MESP) for the Secondary Plan Area, PECG assessed the location and extent of local aquifers and groundwater-supported ecosystems, groundwater/surface water interactions, and groundwater recharge and runoff through a water budget analysis. PECG identified development constraints and considerations that included recommendations to meet the requirements of Source Water Protection legislation. We also provided recommendations for the design of Low Impact Development (LID) stormwater management features, construction dewatering rate estimates and PTTW requirements.
