Overview

Our Toronto office is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer / Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training for a full time, salaried opportunity.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

-Conduct and coordinate a wide variety of geotechnical investigations for buildings, highways, bridges, retaining walls, slope stability, and municipal infrastructure;

-Complete fieldwork (including travel within Southern Ontario, as required) and associated data entry;

-Coordinate and carry out field review of construction works and material testing of geotechnical materials;

-Prepare and coordinate laboratory geotechnical testing; and

-Prepare/draft geotechnical engineering reports, under the supervision of senior engineers.

Requirements

-Post-graduate degree in civil or geological/geotechnical engineering. Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, an asset;

-Must be licensed by Professional Engineers of Ontario or eligible to obtain P.Eng. within 2 years;

-Knowledge of basic principles of geotechnical engineering;

-Access to a vehicle and a valid class G Ontario Driver’s Licence;

-Ability to manage personal project workload and meet deadlines; and

-Strong technical, oral, and written communication skills.
