Project Description

Palmer was engaged by Casino Mining Corporation to assess conditions related to the Casino Mine Project, a copper, gold, molybdenum, and silver deposit located entirely within the Traditional Territory of Selkirk First Nation, approximately 300 km northwest of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. The mine is recognized as one of the largest copper-gold deposits in the world.

We formed and led a multi-disciplinary team that conducted baseline studies and prepared proposal documentation for the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB). We also provided technical expertise on fish and aquatics, surface hydrology, flow modeling, fish habitat offsetting, and terrain mapping and geohazard identification in support of the permitting and regulatory process.
