Project Description
Beginning in 2019, Palmer provided an ongoing range of environmental services in support of a mixed density development proposal that includes local Zoning By-law amendments and a Draft Plan of Subdivision in land currently developed for light industrial use in King City, Ontario.
Preliminary geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations were conducted along with Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), and environmental due diligence, to reveal any potential challenges or liabilities for the project. Other services included an arborist report documenting a tree inventory and a tree preservation plan, a Record of Site Conditioning (RSC) filing, an Environmental Impact Study (EIS), and natural heritage considerations of unevaluated wetlands near the East Humber River corridor and other impacted Provincially Significant Wetlands (PSWs). These wetland investigations were performed in consultation with local regulatory agencies including the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, the Township of King and the Region of York.
